UNION, N.J. (3/17/21) - The Kean University men's soccer team dropped their New Jersey Athletic Conference opener to Stockton University, 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
Michael Echeverria scored the game-winner in the 85
th minute for the Ospreys who improve to 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC.
Felix Pereyra tallied four shots for the Cougars who fall to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC.
Despite the loss, Kean edged Stockton on shots (16-14) and shots on goal (5-3). The Cougar defense helped keep the game scoreless for 84 minutes, before Echeverria scored on a shot from 40 yards out.
