Union, N.J. (4/10/21) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team rallied from a six goal deficit to top Stockton University by the final of 8-7 on Saturday afternoon in NJAC action.
Trailing 7-1 just a minute into the second half, the Cougars (2-4, 2-0 NJAC) stormed back and held the Ospreys (2-1, 0-1 NJAC) scoreless the rest of the way while chipping away to gain the lead.
Seniors Amanda Ehrhart and Katie Pileggi led the charge as Ehrhart netted two in the run, including what would be the game winner. Pileggi tallied three with the game tying goal and assisting on the game winner.
Rookie Morgan Harris made 10 critical stops in goal for the win.
Pileggi added five caused turnovers, four groundballs and three draw controls while Amanda Brzoski registered two assists.
Casey Shultz had three goals for Stockton in the loss.
Kean will travel to Montclair State University on Tuesday for an NJAC matchup.
