Union, N.J. (9/3/21) – Donte Simmons ran for 111 yards and three touchdowns as the #12 Delaware Valley University football team defeated Kean University by the final of 57-6.

Simmons provided the game's only points in the first quarter with just under five minutes to go with a seven yard dash.  The Aggies (1-0) rolled off 23 more points spanning the second and third quarters before the Cougars (0-1) broke through. 

The defensive unit helped set up the opportunity as Anthony Bassani scooped up a bad snap by the Aggies to put the offense just outside the redzone to start their series.  Justin Lucia found Myles Toppin on the first play of the drive for a 22 yard strike.  The two point conversation pass would fail.

Del Val would add on to their lead with one more in the third and three to close out the fourth quarter.

The Aggies finished with 287 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns with 192 passing yards and three scores in the air. Starter Daquan Bohannan was 11-of-26 for 124 yards and one touchdown. 

For Kean, Aaron Cottrell lead the defense with 17 total tackles while Bassani had seven tackles one fumble recovery, one interception and one quarterback hurry.

The Cougars will face Utica College next weekend at home at 1 p.m.
