UNION, N.J. (1/15/22) – Teagan Powell broke four school records during a time trials with Division II East Stroudsburg University on Saturday afternoon.
"I love the way we raced today", said Head Coach
Chris Swenson. "We had 100% season best swims from everyone and a few lifetime best swims as well."
Powell broke records in the 50 Breast twice (32.02, 31.51), the 100 Breast (1:09.16) and the 200 Breast (2:33.67). Those times also placed her first in all three events. Powell's first time of 32.02 came in the first half of the 100 event, before she lowered her time in the actual 50 Breast event later in the meet.
Amanda Davis and
Katie Pileggi both recorded first place times in two events. Davis finished first in the 200 IM (2:22.61) and the 100 Back (1:04.65). Pileggi tallied a first place finish in the 50 Free (26.30) and the 100 Free (59.35).
Powell, Davis and Pileggi teamed up with
Krisztina Balogh for a first place finish in the 200 Free Relay (1:47.31).
"I'm excited to get back to work on Monday at 6:00 am."
Coach Swenson and the Cougars will return to the pool in Kings Point, N.Y. on Thursday, Jan. 27
