Mahwah, N.J. (1/31/22) – The Kean University women's basketball team made it three in a row as they topped host Ramapo College, 66-58, on Monday night in rescheduled NJAC action.
Brittany Graff led all players with 21 points while playing the entire contest. Kayla Anderson added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds while adding six assists as Kean improved to 11-2 in conference play and 12-6 overall.
It was the third quarter again that played a pivotal role in the Cougars' success on the night. Tied at 32-all at the break, Kean finally got out to a double-digit lead, outscoring the Roadrunners, 22-12 in the stanza. The Cougars used a 7-0 run in the quarter started off with a trey from Graff, followed by back-to-back buckets from Sarah Olivero.
Kean was able to then pace the fourth quarter to hold on to the victory, as well as first place in the NJAC.
Shannon McCoy finished with 15 points and five rebounds while Shahd Badeer added six points, seven rebounds and three steals off the bench.
The Cougars will host New Jersey City University on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
