UNION, N.J. (10/18/22) – Anne Beckemeyer totaled 13 kills and posted a .478 hitting percentage as the Kean University women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 straight sets sweep of Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening.
Ashley Smith recorded seven kills and a .357 hitting percentage for the Cougars who improve to 14-8 overall and 6-1 in the NJAC. Caleigh Golabek posted seven kills for the Roadrunners who fall to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in the NJAC.
Beckemeyer and
Taylor Micheaux combined for 10 kills as the Cougars posted a .484 hitting percentage in a dominating 25-11 set one victory.
Beckemeyer recorded another six kills in a close 25-22 set two victory. Kean trailed 20-19, before closing on a 5-2 run that included two kills from Smith and three from Beckemeyer.
Smith and
Morgan Hall combined for six kills as the Cougars dominated the final set of the evening, 25-11. Kean posted a .280 hitting percentage while holding Ramapo to a -.276 hitting percentage.
Micheaux totaled nine kills and six digs, while Hall posted seven kills and
Aubre Adams notched four.
Kylie Brua handed out 27 assists and
Sian Seeger collected 11 digs.
