Jersey City, N.J. (10/19/22) – The Kean University women's soccer team netted two goals in each half to power past host New Jersey City University, 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon in NJAC action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (5-5-5, 2-2-3 NJAC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Gracie Casais and Delaney McGlade.
The Gothic Knights (4-8-3, 1-6-0 NJAC) erased the shutout with a goal before intermission from Kim Brites, her eighth of the season.
Kean shut the door with goals just seconds apart in the second half as Tara Miner made it 3-2 and 17 seconds later from Celine Brady.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Sonya Brewer recorded two assists for Kean while Casais added an assist on top of her game-opening goal.
Julia Masucci registered four saves in the complete game effort in goal.

Kean hosts Rutgers-Newark on Saturday at 4 p.m. and will honor this year's senior class prior to the contest.
