UNION, N.J. (10/26/22) – An early first half goal proved to be the difference as the Kean University men's soccer team dropped their senior night regular season finale to #11 Montclair State University, 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
Justin Goldberg tallied the game-winner for the Red Hawks who finish their regular season at 13-1-4 and 8-0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Dominic Ridge made five saves for the Cougars who finish their season at 6-8-4 overall and 2-4-3 in the NJAC.
MSU caught the Cougars defense early as the Red Hawks scored on their first shot of the game in the fourth minute.
Despite the loss, the shots (10-10) and corner kicks (2-2) were even. MSU held an advantage with shots on goal (6-1).
Santi Alzate totaled three shots, while
Sadeiki Roberts and
Nico Ibanez tallied two.
