Montclair, N.J. (10/26/22) – The Kean University women's soccer team fell to #12 Montclair State University by the final of 3-1 on Wednesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Red Hawks were held to just one first half goal by Aileen Cahill, her 15th of the season. But MSU was quick to add back-to-back goals early in the second half to push out to a 3-0 advantage.
Kean (5-7-6, 2-3-4 NJAC) erased the shutout two minutes later as Delaney McGlade took a feed from Kayley Brooks.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
MSU (16-1, 8-1 NJAC) locked up the top spot in the upcoming NJAC tournament with the win.
The loss ends the Cougars season as they fall just outside the top six teams for the upcoming NJAC tournament.
Julia Masucci stopped eight shots in the loss.
