UNION, N.J. (10/8/22) – Kelsey Corbett scored the lone goal as the #6 Kean University field hockey team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to the College of New Jersey, 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Carly Cole notched two goals for the Lions who improve to 6-5 overall.
Morgan Stump assisted on a goal for the Cougars who fall to 10-2 overall.
TCNJ scored three times over 41 minutes, before Kean answered with a goal in the fourth. Corbett tapped in a Stump shot from outside the circle in the 59
th minute.
Despite the loss, Kean led on shots (23-17), shots on goal (17-11) and penalty corners (11-8).
Peyton Mann recorded nine shots, while Stump tallied four.
Jenna Flemings made eight saves in 45 minutes of work.
