LANCASTER, Pa. (9/7/2022) – Quadri Okunola scored in the 61^st minute as the Kean University men's soccer team drew a 1-1 tie with #19 Franklin and Marshall College on Wednesday evening.

Erick Chicas tallied an assist for the Cougars who improve to 2-0-1 overall. Oscar Horwitz scored for the Diplomats who improve to 2-0-1 overall.

After a scoreless first half Okunola tapped the ball into an open net, just seconds before a collision with the F&M keeper, to put Kean in front at 1-0.

The Cougars held the advantage until the 89^th minute when an F&M equalizer came in the form of a header goal off a crossed in ball.

Balla Diaite, Gabe Llanos, Isaac Guerrero, Sadeiki Roberts, Chicas and Okunola all recorded shots for the Cougars. Dominic Ridge made six saves in 90 minutes of work.

The Diplomats lead on shots (26-6), shots on goal (7-2), and corner kicks (9-4).

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 10^th in Scranton, Pa. against the University of Scranton Royals at 12:00 p.m.
