EWING, N.J. (11/1/23) – A goal in each half lifted the #22 and second seeded College of New Jersey Lions (11-7) to a 3-1 victory over the #13 and third seeded Kean University field hockey team (11-5) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• The Lions notched goals in the first and second half on penalty corner situations.
• Carly Cole assisted on both TCNJ scores.
• The Lions added a third goal in the fourth.
• Peyton Mann tapped in the Cougars lone goal of the afternoon from a Laura Stump blast.  

INSIDE THE BOX

• Stump posted five shots.
• Morgan Stump and Mann notched four shots apiece.
• Jenna Flemings made six saves.
• Kean led 21-18 on shots and 13-12 on shots on frame.

• The Cougars will have to wait and see if they have a strong enough resume for the field hockey committee to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
