#14 Field Hockey’s Historic Run Comes to an End in NCAA Semifinals

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (11/17/23) – Jenna Flemings made 14 saves as the #14 Kean University field hockey team (14-6) had their historic run come to an end in the NCAA Semifinals with a 2-0 loss to #4 Johns Hopkins University (21-1) at CNU's Jennings Family Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!
  • Flemings collected three first half saves as JHU scored a goal off the far post just before halftime.
  • Laura Stump notched two shots and Morgan Stump tallied one.
  • Flemings made 11 second half saves, including eight in the third quarter alone.
  • Hopkins converted on a second goal after three straight saves by Flemings.
  • The Cougars were held shot less in the second half.
