HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Fords (0-1) pushed across an unearned run in the top of the first for their only lead of the day. The Cougars (6-1) responded with a three spot in the bottom of the same inning as Kyle Adorno and Brett Hilsheimer both reached on singles. Phil Marcantonio delivered the first homerun of the season for Kean with a three run blast down the line to take a lead the Cougars would not relinquish.

Tyler Stone worked a bases loaded walk and Steve Petrosh drove in two with a single. Adorno rounded out the scoring with an RBI sacrifice.
The Fords made some noise in their last half inning, with one run already in and one out, Harry Genth worked a full count walk to load the bases. Noah Rivera entered and was able to work out of the jam for his first save of the season as he got a flyout and groundball to end the threat.
