Patchogue, N.Y. (3/22/23) – St. Joseph's University Long Island used a balanced scoring attack to top visiting Kean University by the final of 8-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (11-8) jumped out on top in the top of the first as Tyler Provost recorded an RBI for a quick 1-0 lead.
The Golden Eagles (8-2) took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning with a bases loaded walk and a groundout.
St. Joe's added single runs in the fourth and fifth and put the game out of reach with a three spot in the sixth as Ryan Decoursey cleared the bases with a double.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Gianni Marano was 1-for-3 with a walk and a double.
