Union, N.J. (3/25/23) – Alexis Ashton and Lizzy Escudero combined for eight goals to lift FDU-Florham to a 15-8 win over the Kean University women's lacrosse team on a soggy, cold Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Devils (2-6) used a strong first quarter scoring seven goals.  FDU led by as many as nine (9-0) before the Cougars (2-5) got some momentum and registered three straight with Rosalee Lachner netting two and Kylie Giordano with one. 

Ashton added her third and fourth goals of the day before the break for an 11-3 halftime lead for the Devils.

The Cougars outscored FDU in the third stanza (4-2).  There was limited scoring from both teams in the final 15 minutes as Kean's Giordano recorded the final Cougar goal of the afternoon with 11 minutes to go.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Giordano finished with three goals and three draw controls while Lachner recorded two goals, four draw controls, three groundballs and two caused turnovers.
