Union, N.J. (3/31/23) – The Kean University women's tennis team earned their first win of the spring season by defeating FDU-Florham, 6-3 in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Devils (1-3) held a 2-1 lead after doubles action as Maggie Cronkhite and Ella Olsen combined for an 8-6 win at first doubles while Paula Vanegas and Kiana Rosa earned a win at third doubles.

The Cougars (4-0) turned things around and collected wins at all but one singles flight.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Bianca Ortega and Maria Torres each had two wins on the day as they combined for a 7-1 win at second doubles and each recorded wins at third and fourth singles respectively.

UP NEXT:

Kean's NJAC opener has been postponed for weather on Saturday.  The Cougars' next match is home on Tuesday against New Jersey City University.
