UNION, N.J. (4/12/23) – For the third straight season, the Kean University men's lacrosse team designated a game in April as Connor's Game for Autism Awareness.
"Connor's Game" is in honor of Connor Sgaramella, who is the son of Associate Athletic Director Jay Sgaramella and has been diagnosed with Autism. April is Autism Awareness Month and the Cougars would like to remind everyone that Autism is about love, hope, and acceptance.
The Cougars earned their 10
th victory of the season in a 17-10 win over Penn College on April 8th.
The men's lacrosse team wore helmets with the Autism Puzzle Piece Stickers, which are associated with the cause. The game also served as a fundraiser for the Deron School, which Connor attends.
