UNION, N.J. (4/12/23) – Stockton scored 14 second half goals and overcame a 7-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Kean University Men's Lacrosse team 14-12 in their first ever Coastal Lacrosse Conference game on Wednesday evening.
Luc Swedlund and Dante Poli notched five points apiece for the Ospreys who improve to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in the CLC.
Nick Thorne and
Anthony Porter both tallied four points apiece for the Cougars who fall to 10-3 overall and 0-1 in the CLC.
First Half
- Kean tallied seven unanswered goals for a commanding halftime advantage.
- Thorne notched a hat-trick, while Connor Batjer scored twice as the Cougars led 27-12 on shots and 18-5 on frame.
- Anthony Porter tallied two assists, while Tommy Pellegrino and Tyler Nolan both scored.
Second Half
- Swedlund and Stanley Kolimago both recorded third quarter hat-tricks as Stockton tallied 11 goals in the third fame for an 11-9 advantage entering the fourth.
- In the fourth, Kean cut the deficit to two goals on multiple occasions, but couldn't get any closer.
- Hunter Jenkinson, Tyler Scott and Dylan Johnson all scored in the final frame.
- Dante Poli scored twice in the fourth to cap off a four goal second half.
