GENEVA, N.Y. (9/10/23) – Four second half goals lifted the Kean University field hockey team (4-0) to a 4-1 victory over St. Lawrence University at the William Smith Classic on Sunday morning.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED!

• The first half saw SLU held shot less, while the Cougars failed to capitalize on their 17 shots.
• Kean finally broke through in the second half when Morgan Stump scored on a Peyton Mann insert for a 1-0 lead in the 37^th minute.
• The Saints evened the contest at 1-1 less than two minutes later on just their third shot of the game.
• The Cougars would take a 2-1 lead into the fourth when Emma Killeen notched her first goal of the season off a keeper save.
• Kean converted two more goals in the fourth when Mann and Maddison Gonzales scored off goal keeper saves.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Jorja Hibschman notched eight shots.
