Brewer Scores Twice as Women’s Soccer Draws with Marywood

UNION, N.J. (9/20/23) – Sonya Brewer scored a goal in each half as the Kean University women's soccer team (2-4-1) played to a 2-2 draw with Marywood University (1-4-1) on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!
  • Brewer put the Cougars on the board in the second minute when the junior scored on a keeper miscue at the far post for a 1-0 halftime lead.
  • Marywood scored back-to-back goals in a seven-minute span to hold a 2-1 advantage in the 70th minute.
  • Brewer found the equalizer in the 83rd minute when she scored off a goal keeper save.
