Union, N.J. (10/26/24) – The Kean University women's soccer team tied with visiting Rutgers-Camden on Saturday evening in NJAC action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars (7-7-3, 2-3-3 NJAC) struck first as Courtney Irwin found open space down the middle of the field. She found a streaking Ella Petrosh who finished to put Kean ahead, 1-0.
Five and a half minutes later almost the same scenario played out as the two combined again for a similarly placed goal and a 2-0 advantage.
Rutgers-Camden (7-7-4, 2-3-2 NJAC) answered in the 73rd minute as Ava Stowell collected a loose ball that tipped off the crossbar from Gianna Patitucci.
Stowell tied things up with six minutes to go as she blasted a shot from the left side off a feed from Hannah Crowley.
