UNION, N.J. (11/2/24) – Madison Brege and Jazmyne Frack both notched a goal and assist as the Kean University field hockey team fell to Stockton University, 3-2 via a stroke shootout on Senior Day.  

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• Stockton struck early when Kirsten Bailey blasted in a Riley DeMarco pass in the third minute.
• The Cougars evened the contest in the 24^th minute when a Brege pass across the cage allowed Frack to score on an open net.
• The Ospreys regained the lead at 2-1 in the 42^nd minute when Kiera Lyons beat the keeper one-on-one at the post.
• Brege evened the game in the 51^st minute as Frack tapped a loose ball across the cage and the sophomore knocked it home.
• The game eventually went to a shootout after neither side found the game-winner in overtime.
• In the shootout, Kean started with a Kelsey Corbett miss, before back-to-back makes from Brege and Adrianna Duda.
• Maddison Gonzales missed the next attempt, which allowed Carlee Thompson to convert on the deciding attempt.

• The Cougars led on shots (12-11), shots on goal (8-7) and corners (9-6).
• Corbett posted four shots.
• Gonzales notched three shots.
• Daniella Maresca totaled three saves.
