ATLANTA, Ga. (12/29/24) – D.J. Alicea finished with 29 points as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest to #1 Emory University, 93-66 in the Emory Holiday classic on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Eagles opened on a 20-9 run and never surrendered the lead in the wire-to-wire victory.
• Despite falling behind early, Alicea totaled 14 of the Cougars 27 first half points.
• Ben Pearce and Jair Knight combined for 25 points in the opening stanza.
• The Eagles extended their lead to double-digits with a 23-4 run.
• The second half saw the Cougars put together a 20-11 run that pulled the lead down to 59-46.
• Alicea notched nine points during the run.
• That would be the closest the Cougars would get as they only made six field goals over the final 12 minutes.
