UNION, N.J. (2/14/24) – Jack Freese finished with 11 kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team earned a straight sets sweep of Drew University, 3-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• The Cougars captured the opening set with a .310 hitting percentage and five kills from Chris Mitchell.
• After leading 21-14, Jacob Sledz smacked three kills during an 8-5 run that cut the lead down to 24-22. Sledz attack error put the set to bed.
• In set two, Freese posted six kills as the Cougars hit .314 in an easy 25-18 victory.
• The final set saw 11 ties and three lead changes as Danny Pugliano paced the Cougars with five kills.
• Tied at 15, the Cougars collected six straight points including a kill from Michael McSorley as Kean lead 20-16 and held on for the sweep.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Mitchell posted nine kills and seven digs.
