Galloway, N.J. (2/14/24) – Gigi Gamble led all players with 30 points to send the Kean University women's basketball team to an 81-62 win over host Stockton University in the regular season finale.
With the win the Cougars secure the third seed in the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament and will host #6 Rowan University on Saturday at 1 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
It was a see-saw affair early before the Cougars took the lead for good with just over two minutes to go in the first quarter as Brittany Graff nailed a three to take a 17-14 lead.
Kean pushed the lead out to double-digits in the second quarter and held a nine point advantage at the break (37-28).
The Cougars kept their offensive pace in the third frame and outscored the Ospreys 24-17 in the final 10 minutes to pull away with the win to overtake Stockton for third place in the standings.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Gamble shot 63% from the floor and 89% from the free throw line while playing 39 minutes.
Shahd Badeer collected a double-double 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead all players in boards on the night. She also had a game-high five blocks.
Graff finished with 12 points while rookie Riley Ahrens added 13.

Kean hosts Rowan University on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets for all NJAC Tournament games are $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and children. There are no comp tickets for postseason play.
