MONTCLAIR, N.J. (2/17/24) – Four players scored in double-figures as the sixth seeded Kean University men's basketball team bowed out of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament with a 90-79 loss to third seeded Montclair State University in the Opening Round on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• After MSU opened on a 20-4 run, Kean closed the half with a 32-17 run to even the score at 36-36 entering halftime.
• Trey Harts poured in eight points as the Cougars put together a 19-8 run over the final nine minutes.
• Kean opened the second stanza with a 10-1 run that pushed their advantage to 44-37.
• The Red Hawks chipped away at the lead over the next five minutes and eventually took their first lead of the half at 54-53 with 13:33 remaining.
• After trading baskets, Montclair State closed with a 22-13 run that pushed the Red Hawks lead to double-digits for good.
