UNION, N.J. (2/17/24) – Jack Freese and Rajheem Meulens both notched double-digit kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team dropped a Continental Volleyball Conference match to Elizabethtown College, 3-1 on Saturday evening.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

• Etown captured the opening set that saw 14 ties and seven lead changes.
• Kean out hit the Blue Jays, but Etown closed with a 5-2 run.
• The Cougars took set two behind four kills from Freese.
• The sophomore notched two kills as Kean closed on a 4-0 run.
• The Cougars hit .250 in the third set, but couldn't stop Alex Finch and Logan Smith who combined for 15 kills in the set.
• Etown ran away with the match in set four behind another six kills from Smith.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Freese finished with 14 kills.
• Meulens totaled 11 kills and five digs.
• Luke Frankenfield posted 25 assists and nine digs.
• David Flores handed out 10 assists.
• Tyler Quinn collected eight digs.
