UNION, N.J. (2/27/24) – Bella Truelove and
Maya Thompson both went 2-for-3 as the Kean University softball team earned a 2-1 victory over Muhlenberg College in Game One of their Doubleheader on Tuesday.
Game 2 was called in the bottom of the second due to rain, as Kean led, 8-4.
Game 1
- Muhlenberg opened the scoring with an RBI single from Scooter Hulsen after Sophia Cicchetti lead off with a triple.
- Kean answered in the second when a Karly Messina walk and a Thompson single allowed Truelove to drive in the senior.
- The Cougars scored the winning run in the fifth when Brianna Sciulli hit a bases loaded RBI single up the middle to score Cora Gilio.
- Eliza Filus finished 1-for-4.
- Nikki Lusnia struck out three batters in a complete game victory.
