UNION, N.J. (3/20/24) – Kylie Giordano tallied her 100
th career goal and connected on the game-winner in overtime to lift the Kean University Women's Lacrosse team to a 16-15 victory over Drew University on Wednesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- Kean jumped out to a 4-1 lead behind a natural hat-trick from Giordano.
- After trading goals, Drew scored three straight to even the contest at 6-6.
- Amanda Brzoska and Sam Murri scored back-to-back goals late in the half for an 8-6 advantage.
- The halftime was extended due to a 30 minute lightning delay.
- In the third, the Rangers went on a 4-1 run to push their lead to 11-9.
- The Cougars scored three of the final four goals in the third, including two from Giordano to even the game at 12-12.
- The fouth quarter was another back and forth affair as Brzoska scored twice to put Kean in front 15-14.
- Drew found the equalizer with 3:24 remaining and forced overtime.
- In the extra session, Skyler Ray stole the ball, which eventually setup Giordano to bury the free position game-winner.

- Brzoska totaled six points on three goals and three assists.
- Murri and Ray totaled three points apiece.
- Giordano notched eight draw controls.
- Ray added four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
