Galloway, N.J. (4/26/24) – The Kean University baseball team had their 11 game winning streak snapped with a 6-3 loss to host Stockton University on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (25-12, 11-5 NJAC) scratched across a run in the third as Phil Marcantonio singled home Justin Teixeira who reached on an error.
The Ospreys (21-14, 11-5 NJAC) took the lead, a lead they would not relinquish, with four runs in the sixth frame.
Trailing 6-3 in the ninth the Cougars rallied to load the bases with two outs, but Stockton was able to work out of the jam with a strikeout.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Kyle Adorno was 3-for-5 with a double.
