GALLOWAY, N.J. (4/6/24) – Dylan Johnson totaled seven points on five goals and two assists as the Kean University men's lacrosse team dropped a Coastal Lacrosse Conference contest to Stockton University, 16-17 in overtime on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- Johnson posted all seven points in the first half as the Cougars opened with a 4-0 run and extended their lead to five mid-way through the second quarter.
- Stockton notched four goals over the final six minutes to cut the Kean advantage to 10-8 at halftime.
- The second stanza was a back and forth affair that saw Kean not surrender the lead until the 2:28 mark in the fourth.
- Hunter Jenkinson connected on the equalizer with 55 seconds remaining to force overtime.
- In the extra session, Stockton converted on the game-winner after losing the opening faceoff and forcing a caused turnover to regain possession.
