Wing Makes 11 Saves in Season Opening Loss to Scranton

UNION, N.J. (8/30/24) – Abigail Wing made 11 saves as the Kean University women's soccer team dropped their season opener to the University of Scranton, 2-0 in the Cougar Kickoff Classic on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • The Royals notched both of their goals in the opening 20 minutes.
  • The first goal saw a side pass into the box and a strike to the near post.
  • The second goal bounced off a Cougar defender and back to a striker who ripped it home.
INSIDE THE BOX
  • Courtney Irwin totaled three shots, while Kaydence Oakley posted two.
  • The last time Wing notched double-digit saves was against TCNJ on Sept. 27th, 2023.
