MONTCLAIR, N.J. (1/18/25) – D.J. Alicea finished with 19 points and eight rebounds as the Kean University men's basketball team had their four-game winning streak snapped by Montclair State, 79-66, on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Tyler Spencer posted 12 points as the Cougars shot 54% from the floor.
  • After trading buckets, Montclair held as large as a nine-point advantage.
  • Kean closed the half on a 16-8 run that cut the Red Hawks lead down to 40-38 at halftime.
  • The Cougars struggled to shoot the ball in the second half, posting a 28% field goal percentage.
  • The Red Hawks also opened the second stanza on a 25-7 run that pushed their advantage to 20 points.
  • Kean never recovered from the run as MSU maintained a double-digit advantage for the rest of the contest.
