Two Goal Second Half Lifts Montclair State Past Men’s Soccer

MONTCLAIR, N.J. (10/1/25) – Two second half goals lifted the Montclair State University Red Hawks to a 2-1 victory over the Kean University men's soccer team on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • After a scoreless first half, Kean opened the scoring on the evening when Andy Mayorga slotted a through ball into the lower left to open the second stanza.  
  • MSU evened the game at 1-1 in the 80th minute after a left side cross led to a header at the far post.  
  • The Red Hawks added a second goal in the 84th minute when a cross from the right led to a tap in at the goal line.
