Women’s Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw with William Paterson on Senior Day

UNION, N.J. (10/18/25) – Mariaelena Torres notched the lone goal as the Kean University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with the William Paterson University Pioneers in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Senior Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • After a scoreless first half, Kean broke through with a Torres goal in the 71st minute.
  • Stephanie Monroe played a corner kick into the senior who chipped it into the upper 90.
  • The Pioneers evened the contest in the 78th minute when a Janie Henderson header bounced off a defender and into the bottom left corner.

  • Kean led on shots (15-12) and shots on goal (7-2).
  • The corner kicks were even at 5-5.
