Swenson Ties Brown for Program’s Winningest Coach as Women’s Swimming Dispatches TCNJ

EWING, N.J. (10/18/25) – Head Coach Chris Swenson tied former coach Tim Brown for the winningest coach in program history at 53 wins as the Kean University women's swimming team dispatched the College of New Jersey Lions, 169-92 at the TCNJ Aquatic Center on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!  
  • Emma Bellars, Braelyn Wilson and Victoria Zjawin captured four events apiece as the Cougars won 13 of 14 events.
  • Wilson took first in the 200 Medley relay, the 100 Back, 200 Back and 200 Free Relay.
  • Bellars placed first in the 50 Free, 200 Free Relay, 500 Free and 200 IM.
  • Zjawin won the 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, the 100 Breast and 200 Breast.
  • Sydney Stemley won three events, while Abby Burns took two.
INSIDE THE RECORD BOOK
  • Swenson tied former Head Coach Tim Brown, who led the Cougars from 1997-to-2003.
  • Brown posted a 53-39 record before the program when dormant.
  • Swenson took over the program in 2018 and has amassed a 52-23-1 over seven full seasons.
