Women’s Swimming Takes First in Dolphins Kick-Off to Open 2025-26 Campaign

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (10/4/25) – 10 pool and one school records were broken as the Kean University women's swimming team opened the 2025-26 campaign taking first in the Dolphins Kick-Off hosted by the College of Staten Island on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • The Cougars captured 13 events and finished with 196 points in the four-team invitational.
  • Braelyn Wilson led the way with one school record and six CSI pool records.
  • The sophomore captured first and a school record in the 200 Back, while posting pool records in the 200 Free Relay, 50 Free, 400 Medley Relay, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay 200 Back and 400 Free Relay.
  • Sydney Stemley (100 Fly) and Taylor Jacobson (400 IM) broke pool records on the individual side.
  • Abby Burns matched Wilson with four CSI pool records, while Stemley notched three and Emma Bellars posted two on the relay side.
