Football Falls to Rowan in Season Finale

Union, N.J. (11/15/25) - The Kean University football team closed out the 2025 season with a 47-34 loss to Rowan University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Profs (7-2, 5-2 NJAC) cruised early, scoring on their first three possessions to take a 20-0 lead in the second. After tacking on another score in the second, the Cougars broke through with a 75-yard drive, capped with a 29-yard reception by Jaylen Gundy.

Rowan added seven more on the ensuing kickoff as Jamir Rowe scampered 85 yards for the touchdown.

The Cougars started off the third quarter with a bang as Chris Amos went coast-to-coast with a 100-yard kickoff return.  Aly Marzouk converted the two-point option as Kean trailed 34-14.

Kean added six more with a 13 play, 98-yard drive that spanned over seven minutes.  Ty Kline capped the drive with a 14-yard sprint.

Later in the fourth trailing 47-20, the Cougars scored two touchdowns, first with a 39-yard reception from rookie Jason Marasciulo and later with a 22 yard reception from Matt Vingara for what would be the final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Rowan edged the Cougars in total offense (339-309) while Kean held the edge in passing yards (275-262).  The Profs committed 130 yards of penalties.

Kline was 17-of-38 for 275 passing yards and three touchdowns.  He added one touchdown on the ground.

Jahmeil Brown led the defense with 10 tackles and a breakup.
