LEXINGTON, Ky. (11/19/25) – Aspen O'Brien was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Region IV Player of the Year,
Ashley Torok was tabbed the AVCA Region IV Rookie of the Year and Head Coach
Don Perkins earned Region IV Coach of the Year honors as the Women's Volleyball team notched Five All-Region selections.
O'Brien and Torok were also first team selections with
Cayley Elena Morrison.
Madeline Dohogne earned a spot on the honorable mention.
O'Brien becomes the first player in program history to take home the region's top honor. The senior setter also makes her first appearance on the All-Region team after totaling 1184 assists and averaging 11.57 assists per set. She also becomes the first player in program history to capture both the NJAC and AVCA Regional Player of the Year awards.
Torok becomes the first player in program history to take home the region's top honor for a newcomer. The freshman also makes her first appearance on the All-Region team after totaling 502 points, 433 kills and 244 digs. The outside hitter averaged 4.40 points per set, 3.80 kills per set and 2.14 digs per set.
Coach Perkins earns his first regional honor from the AVCA after leading the Cougars to a 29-5 record, a regular season title, a conference title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
Morrison earns her third straight selection and her second on the first team after totaling 464 points, 382 kills, and 119 blocks. The junior middle hitter averaged 4.20 points per set, 3.47 kills per set and 1.08 blocks per set.
Dohogne earns her first selection after totaling 425 digs and averaging 3.86 digs per set.
The Cougars open NCAA Tournament action tomorrow against Lasell at 4:30 p.m.
