EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (11/2/25) – The Kean University men's wrestling team returned to the mats for the first time since the mid 90's in the East Stroudsburg Open hosted by the Warriors on Sunday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

• At 165, Cole Pfuefer won three matches and reached the quarter-finals before bowing out to Joshua Montesino of ESU with a Medical Forfeit.
• Pfuefer defeated Sean Walker (Bucknell) by major decision, Jaiden Fields (Garrett) by pinfall and John Zero (Felician) by pinfall.
• At 174, Daven Monahan earned a pinfall over Gonzalo Hernandez (PSU-Altoona) in the round of 16 consolation bracket.
• At 184, Shawn Pawlowski earned a 5-4 victory over teammate George Travinsky in the round of 32 consolation bracket.
• At 285, Jhonas Eckhardt defeated Luka Khabuliani (Elite NJ) in the Round of 64, while both Jadon McCoy and Anthony Pasquale both recorded victories in wrestle backs.
