Hoboken, N.J. (11/8/25) – The Kean University women's basketball team suffered an 87-46 defeat to Stevens in the season opener for both on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Tied at nine-all, the Ducks used a 13-2 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. 

Stevens then paced the offense, outscoring the Cougars 44-23 in the final 20 minutes.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Erika Mercedes led the Cougars with 11 points and two blocks.

Cara McCoy contributed with five assists and six rebounds.

Makaila Desire collected four steals.
