ST. DAVID'S, Pa. (2/15/25) - Head Coach Alex Lopes earned his first victory with the Cougars as the Kean University men's lacrosse team came away with a 16-9 victory over Eastern University in the snow on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• The Cougars opened with four straight goals for a 4-0 advantage early in the second quarter.
• Eastern responded with three straight goals in the second, which cut the lead down to 4-3.
• Nick Thorne scored an unassisted goal with 1:40 left which gave Kean a 5-3 advantage at the break.
• After trading goals in the third, Kean closed the quarter with four straight goals in just under 90 seconds.
• The fourth quarter saw the Cougars notch four more scores, including two goals and an assist from Anton Updale.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Updale finished with five points on four goals and one assist.
• Aarin Arbore posted four points on three goals and one assist.
• Dylan Johnson and Jacob Dvoor both notched three points on two goals and one assist.
• Christian Updale went 14-for-25 with five groundballs at the X.
• Drew Tucker collected six groundballs and two caused turnovers.
