JERSEY CITY, N.J. (2/4/25) – Chris Mitchell finished with a career-high 22 kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team survived to defeat New Jersey City University, 3-2 in their New Jersey Athletic Conference opener on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• Nick Huzar posted five kills in a dominating set one victory that saw Kean hit. 400.
• Mitchell notched five kills along with four from Sean Murphy as the Cougars recorded an easy 25-18 victory in set two.
• Marcus Paradise and Matt Peralta combined for 13 kills as the Gothic Knights forced a deciding set after back-to-back victories.
• The Cougars were held to a .111 hitting percentage in set three, while failing to close the match late in set four.
• In the extra session, Kean rallied from two different three point deficits to even the set at 11-11.  
• Danny Pugliano notched five kills in the final set, including back-to-back kills to close the match.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Pugliano posted 11 kills.
• Aidan Flinn recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
• Brandon Millias tallied a career-high 50 assists.
