Galloway, N.J. (4/22/25) – The Kean University softball team dropped two contests to host Stockton University on Tuesday afternoon in NJAC action.

Game One – Stockton 3, Kean 2

Game Two – Stockton 16, Kean 1 (5 innings)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Cougars allowed single runs in the first three innings of the opener to fall into a 3-0 hole.

Kean responded in the seventh as Samantha Raymond tried to help her own cause with a two run homer. 

But that would be as close as they would get as the Osprey's closed the door with two consecutive outs to end the threat.

Stockton jumped out to an early 8-0 lead in the nightcap with six hits, two walks, a Cougar miscue and a hit batter as 13 players came to the plate in the first frame.

The Ospreys continued their momentum, scoring five more in the second with five more hits.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Gina Mahlik and Natalie Stannard each had two hits in the nightcap.
