UNION, N.J. (4/27/25) – Nick Paterno finished with 13 saves as the third-seeded Kean University men's lacrosse team advanced to the Coastal Lacrosse Conference semifinals with a 14-9 victory over sixth seeded Montclair State University in quarterfinal action on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• The Cougars opened the game with five straight goals by five different goal scorers.
• Jacob Dvoor assisted on three of the Cougars five goals.
• MSU tallied back-to-back goals, before Kean ended the half with another five straight for a 10-2 lead.
• The Red Hawks posted a goal in the final minute as Kean held a commanding 10-3 lead.
• In the third, Ricky Iapoce assisted on both goals as the Cougars pushed their lead back to eight goals at 12-4.
• In the fourth, Aaron Boccio and Tommy Hamtil scored as MSU closed with three straight consolation goals before final buzzer.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Dvoor finished with five points on four assists and a goal.
• Johnson and Boccio both finished with four points apiece.
• Nick Thorne totaled three points.
• Christian Updale and Wilfredo Crispin went a combined 16-for-25 with 10 groundballs at the X.
• Updale added two assists as well.
• Kenny Yeager totaled four groundballs and four caused turnovers.
