UNION, N.J. (5/19/25) – The Kean University baseball team will host Salve Regina University in the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament Super Regional round beginning on Friday, May, 23
rd.
The best of three series format begins Friday with a 12:00 p.m. start. The second game will take place on Saturday, May, 24th at 11:00 a.m. with an "if necessary" game to take place 45 minutes after the conclusion of the second game.
The winners of the eight super regional rounds will advance to the NCAA Championship round at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio. Classic Park is home to the Lake County Captains, which is a High A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians.
Kean finished the season at #8 in the NPI poll, while SRU finished #10. Both teams are featured in the D3baseball.com poll with Salve Regina at #7 and Kean at #9.
The Cougars won their first regional championship since 2013 after defeating Husson (4-2), Middlebury (13-6) and #19 Cortland (4-3) in the friendly confines of Jim Hynes Stadium.
CJ Tomalavage went 6-for-11 at the dish with three doubles and five runs scored.

Kyle Adorno all hit .400 over the three-day tournament. Kean has never played in the Super Regional round since the NCAA added it to the tournament format in 2019.
The Seahawks won their second straight regional championship defeating Keene State (5-0), host Penn St.-Harrisburg (7-4) and NJAC foe the College of New Jersey (15-1). Shane Williams is currently hitting .372 with 54 hits, 41 RBI's and 34 runs scored. On the hill, Brayden Clark has a 1.75 ERA with 110 strikeouts and a 11-2 record.
Kean has never faced Salve Regina.
