Union, N.J. (5/7/25) – The College of New Jersey used balanced scoring to push past the Kean University baseball team, 9-1.
With the loss, the Cougars (36-8) are eliminated from the New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament. With the current NPI rankings, Kean has a solid chance for an NCAA at-large bid when announced between Sunday and Monday of next week. TCNJ will face Rowan on Friday in an elimination game at Rutgers-Camden.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
TCNJ (25-16-1) plated single runs in five of the first six frames, with Andrew Fernandez connecting on two homers.
Kean scratched across a single run in the bottom of the sixth as Nick Sellari doubled home Justin Teixeira.
The College of New Jersey then put the game out of reach with a three-spot in the seventh.

Fernandez was 4-for-4 with a double and two homers.
