READING, Pa. (9/27/25) – Joslin Cain scored the game-winning goal 23 seconds into overtime as the Kean University field hockey team earned a 2-1 overtime victory over Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• After a scoreless first half, Emmah Devlin notched her first goal as a Cougar by dribbling past a defender and ripping a shot at the stroke spot.
• The Golden Wolves evened the contest at 1-1 with a Ava Michael's penalty stroke goal in the 56^th minute.
• Cain recorded the game-winner in the extra session, when the junior knocked in a Karli Pritchett initial shot that hit the post and bounced back.

INSIDE THE BOX

• The Cougars led on shots (14-11), shots on goal (6-5) and penalty corners (8-6).
• Shannon Conroy totaled five shots.
• Daniella Maresca and Saraya Nelson combined for four saves.
