UNION, N.J. (1/21/26) – David Flores finished with 27 assists, including becoming the seventh player in program history to reach 1,000 career assists as the Kean University men's volleyball team dropped their home opener to #13 SUNY New Paltz, 3-1 on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• The Hawks hit north of .350 to take the opening two sets by four points and six points, respectively.
• The Cougars bounced back in the third set as Aidan Flinn notched four kills on 10 swings.
• The third set saw 10 ties and six lead changes as both squads hit negatively.
• Kean finished with seven team blocks, including 12 assisted blocks in the 27-25 victory.
• The final set saw the Hawks hit .414 as Flinn and Sean Murphy combined for eight kills.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Flinn finished with 14 kills.
• Flores added 12 digs.
• Danny Pugliano totaled six kills.
• Caden Krzyzak totaled four kills and six blocks assists.
• Tyler Quinn totaled 18 digs.

• The Cougars will now return to the action on Jan. 30^th against Baruch in the Clash at Kean. Saturday's games at Stevenson have been canceled due to the upcoming winter weather.
